SOL
EARTH ORBITAL-DIRECTION WITNESS · PHYSICAL + PREDICTIVE PROGRAM
Epoch-7 physical RAW supplies the designated running pace through the Core20 mapped domain. The recovered Sol-return rate advances that mapping; the A8 Year Angle is a separate orientation instrument. Real sky observation remains the field-evidence path.
EPOCH — · RAW — · SEQ —
Arduino A → Arduino B → Pi physical RAW. Designated external physical pace source.
Native A8 angle512 per selected raw pulse. Rate recovery and Year Angle orientation are separate instruments.
Running raw coordinate used by the current mapped domain.
000₈ is the existing A8 New Year seam. The annual ruler has been ratcheted; no celestial event was moved. The running physical angle remains unset until the Epoch-7 Sol/RAW relationship is physically anchored.
The Annual Frame position is live A8. The distance shown here is a comparison/model mapping from that live fraction onto the current mean-orbit bridge. It does not define or pace the Annual Frame, and it is not a sealed native A8 orbital distance. A8 NAV shows the same model distance on the native length ruler. Ellipse geometry remains unsealed.

Calendar / leap residual remains separate and is not added to Sol.
Operating register: 000₈–777₈. Old annual 600₈ maps to Annual Frame V1 000₈. Nature was not moved; only the annual coordinate seam was ratcheted. The separate celestial seam remains the present-era equinox / A8 First Point of Pisces.
EARLIER QUALIFICATION / FALLBACK INSTRUMENTS
Retained for qualification, recovery, diagnostics, emergency use and independent comparison. These instruments remain functional but dormant. They do not define the normal A8 Annual Frame V1 path or the Epoch-7 running pace.
Preserved historical/comparison frame.
The read-only backend remains
/api/core20/year-angle.
It does not define or feed A8 Annual Frame V1.
Presentation reads /api/state.
Observation machinery remains downstream/read-only.
Stored qualification observations from /api/sol.
Raw-advanced coordinate anchored to the synthetic 100→101 Gate 3C recovery samples. This is not the absolute A8 Year Angle.
Preserved emergency orientation and independent-comparison path. This machinery remains installed and may be used when deliberately invoked for recovery, diagnosis or comparison.
It does not define the normal running rate and is not the preferred A8 Year Angle orientation path.
Current physical + predictive Sol program
Arduino A → Arduino B → Pi.
Prediction is preserved before later observation.
Real solar observation is now recorded against Epoch-5 physical RAW; a matching prediction residual remains a separate comparison against the preserved prediction.
Year orientation will be derived and qualified through A8's own Nature-facing physical and observational evidence path.
A8 predicts first. Nature answers later. The residual is measured; the original prediction is not rewritten to fit the observation.
SOL LIMB · DETECTOR CENTER-LINE CROSSING
A real solar-limb sweep was recorded while the direct Epoch-5 physical counter remained ACTIVE. The visible solar limb crossed the geometric center line of the camera pane at approximately 16.7 seconds into the original recording.
SOURCE_EPOCH · 5 EVENT · SOL LIMB / DETECTOR CENTER-LINE CROSSING VIDEO OFFSET · ≈ 16.7 s RAW BEFORE · 853149723 RAW AFTER · 853149734 RAW BRACKET · 11 PHYSICAL COUNTS PRECISION · RAW BRACKET RESIDUAL · NOT YET BOUND TO MATCHING PRESERVED PREDICTION
The bracket deliberately does not invent an instantaneous exposure pulse. A detector-fixed dirt / polarizer mark remained fixed in the camera field while the solar limb moved past it, so that artifact is excluded from celestial interpretation. This observation records the geometric crossing only; it does not claim a free-drift rate.

Sol direction is an astronomical observation. Core20 accepts the
observation as event type + raw pulse + witness + exact native
angle512. The Sol observer remains read-only and has no path
that can advance the A8 clock or change clock authority.
The historical tools/fake-sol-observer.js program remains
installed as a laboratory qualification fixture for this boundary.
It is a standby engineering tool, not the definition of Sol motion,
a solar ephemeris, or an A8 timing source. Genuine Sol-direction evidence
can enter through the same observation contract without gaining clock-write authority.

Sol remains an orbital-direction witness, not an independent clock and not a direct clock-write input. The running pace currently arrives from Epoch-5 physical RAW through Core20's temporary mapped domain.
Absolute year-wheel orientation may be established or checked by the A8-derived year orientation once physically qualified. After that event, ongoing Sol motion remains selected raw + recovered native Sol angle/raw. The external bridge does not define the running rate and is not a continuous operating feed.
